Good value, very well situated for rail and long-distance bus stations. I ended up staying there three times, using it as a base for excursions to other parts of Morocco.
Can be a bit noisy from the street outside till about 1am at night. Decor a bit gloomy.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Good value, comfortable room and a good location. Bus 19 from the airport stops outside the cinema next door to the hotel.
Comfortable, spacious hotel for its city location Train station is 5mins away and a large supermarket Acima if you fancy a bottle of wine or a cold beer! Staff are very helpful and trips on offer good value.
just one drawback is the noise factor-other people in other hotels said the same-this city does not go quiet til 5am so there is a good deal of greet and beep!
Good position, nice balcony, view of the mountain, comfort in the room, decoration of the room, kind staff.
No wireless in the room, only in the lobby. Breakfast modest and same every day (we stayed 5 days).
The hotel was lovely, and the staff very kind and caring. I would (and have) recommended this hotel to others who plan trips to Marrakech. I intend to retirn next year! As an older sole woman traveller it was ideal, I felt safe and respected.
The staff were frendly comfordable bed, not where it said on the map of marrakech looked much closer to the mendian walled city but is about 2kl to there and a long walk to the markets bbc tv news sound kept going off and I got a bit sick of asking them to fix it ..also the breakfast was the same every day 1 long roll and a small pastry bun butter jam and cheese triangle ,,. cup of tea and fresh orange;;never mind it was value for money .at £25 a night going up to £33 for the next week;;aircondision was also very good ;;;but on the whole it was OK;;;;;While in the tv lounge some staff were sitting down and changing channel to watch what they wanted but this didnt happen very often..........................
the position on the hotel not to far from medinna close to bus stop
very old hotel , very dirty and very pour breakfast, and very very unconfortable bed and noisy we coudnt sleep at all
There was one staff on my stay which doesn't give much cooperation and was not friendly, and yes it affects my view towards the hotel. The rest of the staff however gave full cooperation. Other than that, everything seems ok.
It was cheap and clean.
Wery old and very fae away from city centre.
Nice hotel. Clean, good service. Breakfast is good but less choose and small breakfast
friendly atmosphere, very clean and not too far from the city centre.
Nice budget hotel. Air conditioner is one big advantage when the temperature outside is 51 degrees. Clean and confortable.
Bed on wheels - everyday we found ourselves in the middle of the room. Furniture and carpets not so new. Staff trying to rip you off, like in any other place in Morocco (we were asked for quite a lot of money from the receptionist in order to book us a taxi).
Good value for money. Rooms are very clean, and we had cleaning every day. Stuff is also very nice. It is 20-30 min by foot from the main square, or 5 min with cab. Near by hotel, we had many restaurants and shops.
Only swimming pool missing, because summer in Marrakech is very very hot, but you can find swimming pool in other hotels nearby
Cheap. Air Conditioned. Ok location in the newer part of Morocco but still far from the main Medina area. Value for money in terms of rates - we couldn't find another hotel that would beat the cheap rate offered on Booked.net, we paid €29 per night which included breakfast (not great - the same every day and very basic) but recommend paying a little extra and staying somewhere else.
Despite the nice photos, Hotel Tachfine is old, run down and in need of some renovations. It doesn't have a pool and the 'roof terrace' was closed. The 'nice Moroccan common area' was always used by hotel staff watching tv. In the breakfast room all of the plates and cutlery had a layer of dust because the windows are constantly open because it's not air-conditioned. The service was terrible. Slow, forgetful, no manners and very little English spoken, even refused to bring toilet paper when needed. And we had a mouse in our room. Don't feel pressured to take the day-trips offered by the hotel, do yourself the favor and go to the tourist information center just nearby and they will direct you. This hotel is not three star and was disappointing for our first trip to Marrakesh. We won't be recommending this to anyone.
Walking distance to train station and bus station. The hotel is a bit old but it still has lift. Most staff could not speak English but they were friendly.
Need more attention to up-keeping the bathroom. I was given a remote to TV from the reception desk which was not working. It was found out there were no batteries inside.
